The Taxation Challenge Nigeria kicks off in October 2022 as Nigeria marks its 62nd Independence Anniversary. It is open to all universities, polytechnics, colleges, monotechnics and specialised institutions which offer Taxation as a full-fledged course of study at the B.Sc./HND level or which run it as a component of their Accountancy/Accounting programmes. Enrolment or expression of interest is free.

An interested institution is required to express its interest to participate by nominating in writing two (2) undergraduates who are to represent its school. The nominated undergraduates must be final year students at the B. Sc./HND level, and the programme must be accredited or there must be demonstrable commitment towards getting such programme accredited within the academic year.

There will be inter-geopolitical zonal qualifying rounds for schools from which qualifiers will proceed to subsequent rounds. Premier finalists would travel down to Lagos, Nigeria, all activities expense-paid, where the final rounds of competitions will take place with the ultimate winning institution and runners-up emerging. In addition to the winning institution, only the top three (3) runners-up will be awarded book prizes, certificates of accomplishment, plaques and cash prizes.

Competing schools will know their competitors through random selection of choice numbers which represent schools from different geo-political zones which they will eventually face-off with. This will be done virtually by deploying electronic spreadsheet and video communication technology.

Are you in? Is your school in? Come on board!
